When we arrived, we paid the $5 GA State Park fee, got a hiking staff medallion and a trail map, and got back in the car. After checking the map, we decided to do the easy 2-mile Cliatt Creek trail. The map showed a 25% over 200ft grade. We drove across the parking lot (about 100 feet) and realized we were already at the trail head! So, we loaded the baby into the Ergo and hit the trail.
The trail starts out level in a nice wooded area. After the first hundred feet or so, we crossed over a paved road and into the woods. There was a slight elevation decline, and eventually we ended up at the edge of a small creek. I went down to the edge, while Sheera and Ziva stayed up at the trail to take pictures.
Along the way, we saw random blue squares of paper push-pinned to trees. At first I thought it might be some sort of temoprary trail blaze marking, but then we saw this one:

The trail then looped back around, Ziva fell asleep, and we hit the bigger hills. Then back to the car!
